BUIDLING

For our Silver Award Project we built Sensational Kids Kits. Each kit contains a weighted lap pad, a sensory stretch band, and a eye spy bottle. For the sewing part of the stretch bands and lap pad Abby's Grandmother Peggy, guided us on what stitch to use and how to measure and cut the fabric. The kits will be used for families to sign out and test the products. Thus will help the parents see if they need to invest in these items.  For our project we also made a rolling bookcase for all the books the gym that they have for parents to borrow. The bookcase can be rolled out into the gym when a parent wants to borrow one. These books help parents learn about their sons/daughters sensory needs.

When a parent wants to sign out a kit or book out, we made sign out sheets so that the gym knows where everything is at all times. Ali, Amanda, and I all had so much fun building the kits and rolling bookcase for the Senseability Gym. You can also make them too, just visit our how to section!
